Memories (not in any specific order)

Mr. First Love was my first love as far as my memory can remember. Don’t count those puppy love during kindergarten yeah. He stole my heart when I was 15. Though I would say now I got conned into it.

He would come over to my house and we would chat for hours at the back gate. Those days mum strongly oppose any male friends entering the house when I’m alone. I sneakily went out through the back gate instead.

He would write poem for me and for a nut case like me, can never write any poems back. Endless of poems and a sonnet for my birthday which I’m keeping them all in the Mr.FL box. (Minus 1 point)

He would hand me his notes for me to study. Well he’s a straight A student while I’m a straight B student. See the difference between us. There’s more to come.. (Minus 1 point)

He would take me to eat cakes as I love love cake. Cakes are considered my 2nd best friend. Blueberry cheesecake.. Oh my heaven.. Those days Secret Recipe was the cake shop we could afford.Come to think of it, we prob tired so many cakes till I forgot how it takes like. Haha. (Plus 1 point -we both love cakes)

He was such a sweet talker that my mum adored him. I refer him now as your will-never-be-son-in-law. They share the same interest in literature and books. Well I’m not a fan of literature. I’ve not read Oscar Wilde books or McBeth or Romeo & Juliet or Tale of two Cities. As you can see I prefer reading lighter books that requires less thinking..(Minus 1 point)

He would make bookmarks and mini cards for me as an encouragement. (Plus 1 point – if I’m free that is, I’ll make them)

He would travel an hour just to see me for 15-20 mins in school before my mum arrive to pick me up. I decided to go to KL Kasturi tuition to have 15-20 mins time dating him.

He would save my chinese name as his hp wallpaper. I have no idea how he managed to draw it with my old hp. (Minus 1 point)

He would ask me for my chinese name character and being labeled a banana, I had difficulty describing it to him. For example, Yi, I would describe it as you know the letter T and X with a ‘ on top. The entire convo was over the phone. It could have been easier if I wrote it out for you.

He would come over to my church just to see me dance. Boy I was shy when he was staring at me. He is multi-talented. Self taught keyboardist, plays the drum, guitar and can sing quite well. I’m not musically inclined. (Minus 1 point)

He wrote me a song which is half done as we broke up before he could finish it.

Well in the end, we were not compatible for each other.

Thanks to him, my expectation on guys are quite high and I’m super demanding thanks to all the lovey-dovey stuffs he would do or give. I’m a sucker for sweet talker guys.

If you’re reading this, I know I compared you both together and it hurt you. Honestly I’m glad the way we are right now. I’d be foolish to ruin something we both treasure much. The memories with you I will cherish forever and it would be chapters instead of a blog entry.

Backtrack to convos with my mum as she was part of the secret mission.

Summary of Convo 1 (in my messy room):

Mum made me clean my MESSY room cz apparently she had outstation guest I didn’t know and they wanted to use my room. I pestered her to tell me which country/state the guest came from and mum told me Seremban. Thinking of only 1 family I know form there, I brush off any other thoughts.

Summary of Convo 2 (while I was working, mum called my office) :

Rach, come home by 9pm ok. Don’t go Pasar Malam with your colleagues tonight after your badminton game k. The guest SPECIFICALLY REQUEST to see you. sighzz. siening. I remember after the convo I was complaining like crazy. Who on earth wants to see me so badly till my mum has to call my office and remind me to be home? Urgh.

Summary of Convo 3 (at 10pm that night) :

Mum, I don’t think the guest will be coming la. So late d. 10pm liao. Who comes at this hour? Mum replied, if they don’t come they will call. WTH la..

And I tiredly and sulky went to the kitchen to wash the stack of dishes my parents left for me to clean. While cleaning half way…. Mum came in and said the guest have arrive and push me out. What?! I saw 2 shadow figures walking towards me. OMG!! AHHH!! SURPRISE!!!

Btw I couldn’t sleep that night as I was smiling like an idiot pig. I love you.. Muacks

I’ve decided to make a commitment to fast on Fridays and while I’m ber-puasa-ing with the malays in my office, I might as well blog about it.

As I reflecting upon this verse, a thought come to me. I really sing dangerous song, Send Me by Planet Shakers. Asking God to send me and proclaim His words, have I ever done any of those? The thought of sending me to some ulu land and spread the word of God.. Hmm I don’t think I have that courage now. Have I been playing a role as a Malaysian for our country? I’ll admit this, I’ve been procrastinating to register myself as a voter. Well I don’t really bother much bout the political affairs as there’s so injustice and unfairness in our country so why bother voting right. The end result will be the same. But it got me thinking, if I don’t stand up and who else would if we all had the same mindset like me. I admit I never read much of Nation news as it never caught my interest. Politics.. Sien.. I kill you, you kill me. Go on trials but never get into jail. Case closed. End of story. How many times have I read cases like this and gave up praying for the better of our nation? Self note : to trust God in prayer that He alone can change things.

A lil prayer items for today : register myself as a voter and for the many other who have not registered and to vote wisely. a fair & clean election. Malaysians abroad to be able to vote. more volunteers to be observers and counting agents.

Half way through soaking my pillow with tears, I finally gave up reading. It reminds me so much of myself. I can’t handle long distance relationship as I am quite bermanja by nature and I need to see my mr.boy. Skip skip the emo part, I flipped to the last chapter. Deep down in her heart, she still loved him very much but the distance seperated them.. Hmm hmm.. Sounds familiar.

Norwegian Wood

The end of chapter one, she never really loved me. Ahh!! I cant take this anymore. This book was written from a guy’s perspective and as what JH said maybe it’s not that bad after all. I’ll give it another one more shot after… when the time is right.

These books are lying in my cupboard and I’ve never read a single chapter of them.

I don’t really mind checking other’s work but it’s hell annoying and frustrating when you find a mistake and you tell them to amend, but when you receive the file, something else is missing and only one part is changed.

Seriously?! How hard can it be to double check your work before sending it for me to comment? I’m not so free to check one by one of your work you know.I have 3 types to check and I’m half way though one.

Urgh! This is really testing my patience.

All the complains aside, I’ve learned to deal with freelance people, what’s important in drawings, being detailed which I’m so not a detailed person, being firm when I can’t say yes and no properly.

That’s the challenge and also the good part. I’m growing bit by bit. I hope someday you can tell me how proud you are of me and how much I’ve matured.

Hmm well you see I mainly blog my feelings towards a certain person and erm  it brings back unwanted memories.

Well leave the past behind and move on. Occasionally I read your blog so it would be nice if you could upload it.

Since I’ve been MIA-ing for some the last 6 months, here’s a glimpse of it.

Jan - A month for farewells. I left the old architecture firm in KJ to Tmn Desa. Some personal farewells which brings both happy and sad memories.

Feb - A month for celebrations. CNY this year I visited Andrew’s home town in Ipoh. I  feel deeply in love with the kampung setting as my only kampung is in KL.  A new start in my career path which I find very challenging.

March - A month of struggles. Uncountable expectations to meet. Trying to adjust to the working environment. Trying to remember the dance steps for Easter Musical. My head is going crazy. Gala Dinner

April - A month of anticipation. The nerve wrecking solo dance for Easter Musical.

May - A month of healing. YF Planning retreat. Personal healing. Getting used to the working environment and responsibility for my projects.

June - A month of excitement. Family Camp. Jun Hao is back!! Movies after movies back to back. X-men, Kung-Fu, Super8.

A few interesting things happened last sunday. Let’s start with the planed events. RP2 leavers camp 05 is having another reunion. Its really amazaing after 5 years we’re still keeping in touch with one another. Emily was goin for a play, Follow the Light and a few of us decided to join her at the last minute. Japtheth, Mei Yee, Sarah, Anna, Daniel, Pris and myself.

Sometimes I’d rather not know about the play/musical/movie than to know beforehand. I prefer the story to slowly unfold its magic for me than having expectations and feeling dissappointed after that. The play was about the ‘The Greatest Story Ever Told’, the birth of Jesus Christ.  There was a lil twist here and there but the storyline still remained. I kept thinking, it would have been great if the rest of my church would be able to watch this play. It was entertaining, light, funny and touches issues that we are facing in society today. Shyly I must admit Joseph (Aaron Khaled) is erm hot.  

Another unexpected thing happen, my BM tuition friend since Form3,4&5 is in the list of musicians for the play. He was playing the electric guitar. The play had live band to accompany the singers. The great thing was he remembered me. We did some catching up and its just great to meet old friends.

After the play, we met up with the rest of the gang in Old Town Kopitiam. We did alot of catching up with each other and it feels great that we are able to openly share our lives and views with friends that just meet up once or twice every year. Headed over to Overseas Restaurant for dinner and later KTZ for dessert. All  I can say is we have such great friendship.

Now for the unplanned even. Lunch at Levain with San, Joey and Peay. The environment reminds me of English style cafe. Outdoor sitting, plants, english style talble and chairs and deco, interior and exterior setting, design, food, just reminds me of being transported back to Melbourne =). The food was heavenly. Pastries, cakes, buns, macaroons… yummy. The best way to end the meal is with a cup of coffee. Sinful indulgence. (pics are tagged on my fb). Tips guys if you wanna bring your girl to pak tor or surprise blind fold her, this is one place you should bring her.

the one who will listen to cry for hours over the phone. the one who doesn’t judge you. the one who encourages you when the world seems to fall apart. the one who gives you that extra strength u need.the one who tells you that boy is not worth your tears. the one who snaps at you because of your stubborness to continue loving the wrong guy. the one who the one who takes you out shopping to destress the your depression. the one who picks up your call when the boss is around just to keep you company and not cry. the one who gives you a hug to let you know you’re loved. the one who makes you laugh when you’re sad.

the one who goes to your fridge and find food. the one who leaves her clothes at your house just in case an emergency sleepover. the one who has her toothbrush at you house. the one who shares her food with you when you’re broke. the one whose should you’ll sleep on in the bus. the one who shares bankie with you but you end up stealing them for yourself.the one who loves you more than you love yourself.

the long overdue post bout my 22nd birthday celebration, 23rd for the rest. peay was busy studying for her CPA exams. dear we have our own birthday celebration k. thanks for calling me out for movie and also celebrating my birthday and making it special though i only knew most of guys this year.  

thank u mummy and daddy for the dinner and necklace which ive been wanting from you all for such a long time. i love it. thanks cheryl, ashley and lee hua for the overseas call. i love n miss u guys to bits. thanks peay for the sexy present. should i seduce u? thanks in advance for a present that is on the way. thanks to my mr.date for taking me to Jogoya for dinner. it was a night worth remembering.

OMG! *happy, excited, smiling like crazy,faster run down from office* its been such a long time since you came to find me for lunch other than fridays. i really missed having lunches with you. today was a surprise. i know you tired to surprise me on my birthday but i called you way too many times till it annoyed you and aiks no surpirse for me. spoiler rach. it’s so nice to eat out of office. went to ming tien at taman mayang cause you wanted to eat your cheese bake rice but so unlucky, the stall’s closed today. settled for wan ton mee in the end cause i dunno what else to eat. talk and talk and talk. see im so happy till i can’t stop talking.
